![]() ![]() Definitely make sure to reference this awesome Beginner's Strategy Guide Triumph has kindly provided. Play a random map or two so that you've understood the basics of movement, combat, production, research, and casting. I'll be walking you through each campaign mission with a special emphasis on things you need to know that will help you with both the mission, and learning the game in general.įirst things first: I've never played a TBS game where the campaign was the best place to learn the basics, and AoW 3 is no exception. In fact, I've created this handy set of guides specifically for you, the beginner. It is a map where you best win by being systamatic. So, you're relatively new to Age of Wonders 3 and, like many new players, you decide to tackle the campaign. Once you got all heroes with tier 2 or tier 3 units scourge the land of enemy troops and claim there cities. Get all four goblin towns via there respective quests.įortify your borderds actively hunt down any non friendly in the area. Same thing with the third (Goblin Theocrat) Malaficus, Nah, it's the Goblin Theocraft map, I think you have the wrong mission in mind. Kind of strange that it's too hard if you just play it blind. I did win this way BUT I had to know the map for this, and know where to go. On the second map of the Elven Campaign (Reskar Desert map) the only way I won that (without getting 6 Tier IV Manticores in my face Round 65) was by rushing pre-turn 10 towards the 2 Elven towns, and then I rushed straight for the Throne of the Red Orc player. However here is a second point you brought up. Originally posted by Dark Knight, I have to agree on the rushing. ![]()
